Workshop Description:

Hearing the word Authentic Assessment used around school and in meetings? What does it really mean? In this session we review the essential elements of authentic assessment and the dos and don’t of implementation. Authentic Assessments are essential to administering assessments virtually.

By the end of the session, participants will design their own authentic assessment developed through research and the guidance of experienced Educators. From creation, to implementation, and student reflection of final grades join us as we discuss Best Practices for Virtual Assessments.

Learning Objective:

  • I will be able to describe the differences between traditional and authentic assessments.
  • I will be able to identify questions that lend themselves best to authentic assessments.
  • I will be able to develop an assessment & environment to ensure full authenticity of student assessments completed.
