Description
Clerisy Architect: Sean Drake
Length of Workshop: 60 minutes
Workshop Description:
As teachers, it is easy to create student jobs during summer planning and by October be so overwhelmed in our day-to-day responsibilities they fall by the wayside. Join Sean Drake in a guided exploration to determine why we lost the momentum in the past and strategies for maintaining them in the future. Learning about the impact of roles in students from elementary through high school helps when cultivating a list of impactful roles for students in your content area & grade level. Participants will develop an implementation plan and updated roles suited for either the brick and mortar classroom or the virtual environment designed to build student development.
Danielson Framework: Domain 1 (Planning & Preparation), Domain 2 (Classroom Environment)
Learning Objectives
- Participants will be able to evaluate their current classroom roles.
- Participants will be able to include new roles or remove current roles to benefit students.
- Participants will be able to create roles for both the virtual and traditional learning environments.
